Krabi (Phi Phi Islands, Koh Lanta) |
Krabi has some of the most attractive scenery in southern Thailand: stunning limestone cliffs fronting on fine white beaches, coupled with fascinating islands in the Andaman Sea.
Krabi has kept much of its charm intact (as long as you avoid Railay Beach ), particularly when compared to neighboring Phuket. Many beaches are still pristine – no umbrellas, banana boats or jet ski rentals are allowed there (in theory, anyway). It’s all about you and nature, the sea sand and sun.
While mainland has a lot to offer-waterfalls, caves, temples, etc.-island tours are still huge favorites for the dramatic views they offer of Krabi’s unusual islands and possibility to get up close and personal with their hair-raising cliffs. In a single hour boat ride, you can reach most of these jewels of the Andaman. Moving away from the beach, you will see the water change from crystal blue, to deep blue and to emerald green. At many points, the colorful fish and coral can be seen from your boat but, of course, snorkeling and diving are a must
Krabi one of most attractive destinations in southern Thailand, is an ideal getaway destination teeming with natural attractions including white sandy beaches, fascinating coral reefs, numerous large and small islands and verdant forests with caves and waterfalls. There are more than 130 large and small islands in Krabi including the world famous Phi Phi Islands and Lanta Island.
In addition, Krabi is the location of two world class beaches Ao Nang and Hat Rai Le which offer numerous diving trips, restaurants, shops etc.
