Srilanna National Park is prestigious park to commemorate the 5th anniversary of King’s birthday. The park was announced a National Park on the 1st August 1989 (B.E. 2532) on the King’s multifarious duties, volume 106 section 120. It is the 60th National of Thailand. The park encompasses 1,406 square kilometers, covering 3 Districts (Amphur) of Chiang Mai province: Mae Taeng, Prao, Chiang Dao.

The park is surrounded by the valleys and a mountain chain lies from north to south. The source of Mae Ngad reservoir is along with several brooks and creeks, which water rushes down from the valleys to Mae Ngad reservoir. Southwest of the brooks, the water rushes down to Mae Ping River. |
FLORA AND FAUNA |

The ruggedly mountainous park encompasses with mixed deciduous, moist evergreen, hill evergreen and Dipterocarp forests. Anisoptera costata, Toona ciliate, Hopea odorata, Tectona grandis, Xylia kerrii, Shorea obtuse, Shorea siamensis and others dipterocarpus species are found here. Wildlife include tiger, barking deer, serow, bear and wild pig. |

Mon Hin Lai Waterfall The significant area is Mon Hin Lai Waterfall, located in the middle of forest surrounded by jungle through out the year. The wter trickles through cleavages a level, the height of level one is 104 meters, the top level is 90 meters. The abundant forest is full of water in July to October. It is far from town about 79 kilometers. And keep to the left for 14 kilometers. In addition, you can see the scenery of Prao Amphur at the viewpoint. |

Mae Ngad Reservoir is located in Amphur Ban Pao, Mae Taeng, covering land of the park 20 square kilometers, the water reserving area from streams in the park is 1281 square kilometers. In scenic forest, tourists are able to sail along the forest and reservoir. |
Yen Fountain and Waterfall located on km.42 of Chiang Mai-Prao road. (Tambol Hohphra, Amphur Maetaeng, Chiang Mai province). The mineral water dive from the earth and flow along a stream. |

FACILITIES
The park provided campground but tourists have to bring their own tent and equipment.
HOW TO GET THERE
Getting to Srilanna National Park use the road number 1001 from Chiang Mai travel to Mae Taeng forest, Mae Ngad forest and Amphur Prao. At km.79 Ban Pradu, Tambol Maepung, Amphur Prao there is an intersection to the park Headquarters and Mon Hin Lai Waterfall.
