Do you know the origin of the Full-moon Party?

The Full-moon Party was first inspired by a traveler who had come to the island of Koh Phangan, at Haad Rin nok. At one point he was laying on the beach under the full-moonlight and he noticed the magnificent shade and distinct aspect of the moon which was totally different from any view of the moon he had seen before. He wrote it down his experience admiring Koh Phangan as one of top 3 best places to witness the full-moon in a travel magazine which was published and distributed throughout the world.

After that, tourists have continuously visited over the years and a small party was established and expanded through the area until it became the world famous full-moon party it is at the present. Besides of full-moon party at Haad Rin nok, the party has expanded to other islands as well, Koh Tao and Koh Phi Phi for example.
