Uthai Thani is absolutely attractive province as it is rich in natural resources, such as forests and wildlife. “Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Reserve” (Wildlife Sanctuary that merges with the Thung Yai Naresuan Sanctuary to create the largest protected animal reserve in Southeast Asia) here was proclaimed a Nautral World Heritage Site. The reserve has jungles, forests, plains, many streams, and most importantly, a number of rare and endangered animals. In addition, Uthai Thani is a province with unspoiled natural tourist destinations that are of interest to tourist everywhere.
Furthermore, at Uthai Thani, visitors can see the different lifestyles of locals, such as the life of raft residents on Sakae Krang River.
Along both sides of the river, there are the floating houses that have become the symbol of Uthai Thani. On the west bank, where it seems to be more crowded with houses and buildings, is where the market is located. The products that are sold thee are things like rice in baskets, foods and desserts and vegetables that the villagers grow in their own homes. The east bank is Koh Thepho which is the area of orchards and natural bamboo forests. The floating houses floating on the river were built on rafts made of these bamboos. People living in the floating houses said that living on the floats is comfortable. They are welcomed with the cool wind in summer, and the warm sunlight in winter. These floating people mostly raise and catch fish to earn their living. These fish will be dried, smoked and sold.
Moreover, at the end of the Buddhist Lent, Buddhists from all directions congregate in the province for a major merit-making tradition called Tak Bat Thewo at the foot of Khao Sakae Krang at Wat Sangkat Rattana Khiri which houses a very beautiful Buddha image from the Sukhothai period.
