Dusit Zoo (Khao Din), which is the predecessor of the Zoological Park Organization under the Royal Patronage of H.M. the King was established in 1938 by the Municipality of Bangkok. Dusit Zoo is a very popular place for family with children and all ages. This zoo and park is next to the Old Parliament. Dusit Zoo has lush green surrounds and many flowering shrubs and trees with large ponds complete with foot-paddle boats, play grounds for the kids and shady picnic areas. There are 288 mammals, 1018 birds and 292 reptiles.
The zoo opens daily from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
From now on you can enjoy Dusit Zoo as an evening zoo (opened at 7.00p.m.) as well as learn about animal behavior especially savanna wild animals such as hippopotamus, giraffe, chimpanzee or urangutang at the Animal Presentation area which include how they live in their respective environments also.
Tips: must have covered dress, insecticide for mosquito, map and hand light.

Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo |

Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo is now the world’s largest crocodile farm. It is situated at Tambon Tai Ban, 3 kilometres from Samut Prakan town. The farm has over 40,000 crocodiles of different kinds in various pits. Daily shows feature catching crocodiles bare-handed. Shows take place every hour from 08.00-17.00., except at noon; additional shows at 12.00 and 17.00 on holidays. Another star attraction for visitors is the elephant show of which performances are held daily every hour from 09.30 -16.30. Furthermore, you can see tigers, chimpanzees, and other animals such as gibbons, turtles, boa constrictors, pythons, birds, camels, hippopotamuses, and of various species of fishes.
There is even a Dinosaur Museum which has on display life-size models and skeletons of more than 13 kinds of dinosaurs and also features a multivision slide presentation on man and prehistoric animals.
The farm is open daily from 07.00 - 18.00
